My verdict on the RealPrize welcome bonus

I’ve signed up at a lot of social and sweepstakes casinos, so I know this welcome offer at RealPrize is very much in line with what you find at similar sites. While other sites like WOW Vegas start you with more Sweepstakes Coins, what RealPrize gives you is similar to most sites. You can certainly start playing games right away with Gold Coins, and while the Sweeps Coins will last you a short while, you’ll probably need to make a purchase or be patient and collect a number of daily bonuses to build up your SC balance.

How did I use my RealPrize sign-up bonus?

With the free GC and SC I received upon completing my registration, I initially used Gold Coins to try out a few different slots including some of the most popular titles like Sugar Rush 1000 and Buffalo King Megaways. I also used my SC to play a little video poker and Sic Bo, managing not to lose it all right away but not venturing too long as the minimums are 0.10 SC for video poker and 0.20 SC for Sic Bo.

I mentioned before how signing up at RealPrize is a breeze. To be more specific, when you first register at RealPrize, be prepared to provide the following:

• first and last name
• email address
• phone number to verify via a text

You’ll also have to create a password when you first create an account. That’s all there is to getting started at RealPrize.

Note that you must be at least 18 years old to play at RealPrize. You also can’t be located in any of the “restricted territories,” i.e., states where RealPrize does not operate. Right now that includes Connecticut, Idaho, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New York, and Washington.

Verification process

Beyond simply creating your account, you’ll also need to go through an additional verification process before you can try to redeem winnings for prizes. The verification process is triggered when you click “Redeem,” at which point you’ll be asked to provide:

• a photo ID (e.g., driver’s license, passport, gov’t ID)
• a selfie
• proof of address (e.g., a utility bill)

I will say I had a bit of trouble here as I couldn’t initially figure out how to allow the app access to my camera. I ended up consulting customer support who was helpful (see the section about customer support below).

I also had to try a couple of times when it came to providing a proof of address, as RealPrize wouldn’t accept my photo of my internet bill for some reason, explaining they need a photo of a “utility bill” (which they consider as something different, I suppose) or other items like a bank/credit card statement, tax invoice, or government-issued residential statement/certificate. That was a little bothersome, but eventually I was able to complete the verification process.

All of this is fairly standard, by the way. Such steps assure the site you are indeed of age and in a state where RealPrize operates before you try to redeem winnings for gift cards or cash prizes. These steps ensure the safety and security of your account as well.

You can play at RealPrize on your desktop or laptop via a web browser. There is also a mobile app for iOS (Apple) devices, but none for Android users. I have an iPhone, and I’ve found the RealPrize app loads quickly and runs quite well, making it my preferred option when playing on the site.

The only time when I instead use my computer is when I want to play live dealer games which work fine on the iPhone, but sometimes buffer for me. I like the larger screen size, anyway, for live dealer games as there is a lot to see and things can be a little too small on my phone.

In terms of game selection, there are close to 670 slots at RealPrize. You’ll also find nine table games, eight live dealer games, and a small number of instant win games to bring the overall total up close to 700 games. I’ve found that all of the games on the main site also appear on the app, although sometimes you can see them all when just scrolling through the games. Search for them, though, and they’ll come up for you.

The site’s organization is the same on either platform. There are more than 20 game categories to explore, including many slots categories like Megaways, Classic Wins, Extreme Reels, and others. Purchasing Gold Coins

As with other social and sweepstakes sites, you never have to purchase anything at RealPrize. As I mention above, RealPrize is one sweeps site where you can actually get by and enjoy the games without ever purchasing coins, but if you do choose to buy a Gold Coin bundle, there are some decent deals available that get you lots of free Sweepstakes Coins as a bonus.

Just click “Store,” and you can see all of the available GC packages available. Here’s what it looks like:

As you can see, the cheapest package is just $3, but that only gets you 20,000 Gold Coins and no Sweepstakes Coins as a bonus. I’d instead recommend the $10 package that buys 75,000 GC plus 12 SC FREE. Note that when it comes to redemptions, one SC will redeem for $1, whether you go for a cash prize or a gift card.

Prize redemption options

When it comes to redeeming your Sweepstakes Coins at RealPrize, here are the minimums needed to do so:

That threshold of 100 SC is fairly common at many sweeps sites, although some offer cash redemptions for less. For gift cards, the 45 SC minimum at RealPrize is higher than what you’ll find several other sites including Pulsz, Hello Millions, and Chumba Casino where you can get a gift card for just 10 SC. Gift cards are handled via the third-party Prizeout with whom I’ve had nothing but good experiences when redeeming for the virtual gift cards delivered to my email.

Meanwhile, when you redeem for a cash prize at RealPrize, you have two ways to go, either having the money sent via bank transfer or added to a debit card.

I haven’t been able to climb as high as 45 SC, so I have yet to try to redeem any of my Sweeps Coins at RealPrize. It’s a bit of a challenge, to be honest, although by purchasing GC and collecting more SC as a bonus, you can put yourself in a better position to redeem.

There’s just a 1x playthrough requirement on the SC, by the way, unlike some sites like Stake.us or Chanced where you have to play 3x your SC for it to become redeemable.

I have found plenty to entertain me among the almost 700 games at RealPrize. The great majority of the games are slots, most of which are non-jackpot slots.

There’s a special section dedicated to slots from Pragmatic Play that includes favorites like Big Bass Bonanza 1000, Ride the Lightning, and Bandit Megaways. As mentioned above, there are many other categories you can explore as well.

In addition, if you scroll down you’ll also find links to other developers, including some of the industry’s biggest studios. In other words, RealPrize has a number of top slots you generally find at real money online casinos, but not so often at social and sweeps-style casinos. That means you can find famous NetEnt games like Gonzo’s Quest, Starburst, and Twin $pin or Big Time Gaming slots such as Bonanza, White Rabbit Megaways, and Extra Chilli Megaways. That should be a big positive for slots fans.

As far as non-slots games go, there is that small selection of table games, including several “First Person”-style games like Sic Bo, Dream Catcher, Dragon Tiger, Baccarat, and Video Poker. All in all, I like the game selection at RealPrize, although it would be nice if there were a few more non-slots options.

RealPrize lags behind other social and sweepstakes sites a bit when it comes to customer support, although I will say my interactions have all been pleasant and helpful.

I have seen a phone number online that is apparently available to call to reach RealPrize support, but that number does not seem to appear on the site currently and I can’t really attest to it being valid. There is prominent link to FAQ & Support which takes you to a page of common questions, although to be honest the number of question is somewhat modest and the usefulness of this page isn’t great.

Beyond that, you can click “Submit a request” at the top of the FAQ section and submit a ticket. Then you have to wait for an emailed response.

When I sent a ticket in asking about the trouble I had completing the verification process, I received an auto-reply informing me they would “aim to get back to you within up to 4 business days” — not exactly what I wanted to hear! That said, it actually only took RealPrize support an hour to respond to me, and the response was helpful. I ended up interacting with them a couple more times in order to get through the verification process, and again they were helpful although the emailed exchanges did take some time.

It would be nice if RealPrize added live chat support such as is available at other sites like McLuck and Crown Coins for higher VIP tiers.

Will I keep playing?

The game selection is varied and plentiful enough to keep me coming back to RealPrize. I also like grabbing the daily bonus, and have added RealPrize to the list of social and sweeps sites I try to hit once per day in order to get those free Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins. It’s too bad the daily bonus never increases from the 5,000 GC and 0.30 SC you get each day, but that’s still something.

If you’re still on the fence about RealPrize
