WOW Vegas has rightly found a place near the top of most lists of casino-style sweeps sites, thanks largely to its enormous library of 2,000-plus slots. That tops most real money casino sites, and leads the way in terms of sweeps casinos, too.

The variety of slots is tremendous, and I very much like the website design and functionality. There’s a lot of fun to be had with WOW Coins (the non-premium currency), and there are ways, too, to accumulate Sweepstakes Coins (the premium currency) that can be redeemed for prizes, although that can be a bit challenging at WOW Vegas when compared to some sites.

My verdict on the WOW Vegas welcome bonus

The WOW Vegas sign-up bonus compares well to some of the best sweepstakes casino bonuses. Getting 5 SC right away is more than most sites which tend to give new players only 2 SC at most. (There are some exceptions, like Stake.us where you can get 25 SC.) That supply of 250,000 WOW Coins is nice as well to give you plenty with which to get started trying out games on the site.

How did I use my WOW Vegas sign-up bonus?

I tried to be somewhat judicious with my WOW Vegas sign-up bonus, using my WOW Coins on some of the slots and preserving my Sweepstakes Coins for higher RTP games like the First Person roulette titles. Thanks to the low minimums, I was even able to use my SC to try a couple of live dealer games, Joker’s Show and Crash Live.

Alas, I still ran through my Sweepstakes Coins fairly quickly and thus found it necessary to pick up the first-purchase bonus that got me 30 Free Sweepstakes Coins plus 1,500,000 WOW Coins for just $9.99, which is quite a good bargain. I am continuing to try to work up my SC. I am actually just as likely to play with WOW Coins when I log on at WOW Vegas, in part because as I talk about below, there is no daily bonus unless you keep buying packages.

WOW Vegas actually has a ton of ongoing promotions that are worth exploring. They start with the tiered Star System loyalty club and in fact all of the bonuses increase in frequency and size if you’re able to move up the levels from Rising (where you start) to the Gold, Hosted, and Invite highest levels.

There is also something called the WOW Factor which is like a loyalty score that helps you access special offers and benefits. To be honest, it’s a little mysterious how the WOW Factor works.

Unfortunately, as I indicated above daily bonuses are only available to those who purchase WOW Coin packages, and indeed you have to keep on buying them in order to continue to receive the bonuses. I share more details about the packages below, but whatever package you buy, you get a 7-Day WOW Key that lets you “unlock” the Daily Spin Wheel which contains differently sized bonuses. The higher your VIP level, the higher both the minimum and maximum rewards.

Signing up for a new account at WOW Vegas is simple and quick to do. It only took me a minute or two to get an account and start playing.

Visit the WOW Vegas site, then click the green “Sign Up” button in the upper-right corner. You’ll see you can register using your Facebook or Google account, or you can do so by entering your email address and creating a username and password. Then you’ll have to…

• enter your first and last name, state, country, and date of birth
• agree to the terms and conditions and confirm you are at least 18 years old and not in a state where WOW Vegas does not operate.
• check your email for a message from WOW Vegas that contains a link you’ll need to click to confirm your email address

That will take you back to the site where your free WOW Coins and Sweepstakes Coins await you.

Verification process

Once you’re registered, you can play games at WOW Vegas right away. However, in order to do other things like redeem winnings for prizes or participate in the WOW Social chat, you have to get fully verified. Doing so involves three steps:

1. Performing a “liveness check” — that is, taking a selfie.
2. Providing a photo of an identity document such as a passport, a driver’s license, an ID card, or a residence permit.
3. Providing proof of address with a photo of a valid ID document with your address on it or any of the following from the most recent three months: bank document, utility bill, government-issued document.

That might sound like a lot, but it is fairly standard and most sweeps sites require something similar to get your account verified. They are ensuring you are who you say you are, and also that you are above the minimum age and located in a state where WOW Vegas operates.

Once you completed everything, you’ll get a note telling you your last item (the proof of address) is being reviewed and that it might take up to 48 hours to make sure it is okay. For me, though, it only took a minute or two and I got both an email and a note on the screen telling me my account was verified.

Once you’ve verified your identity, you can “Enable Social Features” and chat with other players over in the WOW Social chatbox. You can also later redeem winnings for prizes, as described below.

WOW Vegas is only available on a web browser, and in my experience it works best on a computer although you can certainly access it via the browser on your mobile device. The lobby is quite busy with a lot of information, so it is better in my view to be on your desktop or laptop.

I do like the organization of everything with the different links down the left-hand column, the banner with promos up top, and the different categories as you scroll down starting with a series of hotlinks followed by your “Recently Played” games.

You can quickly review New Games, Popular Games, WOW Vegas Exclusive Games, and games sorted by the many different providers with whom WOW Vegas partners. It’s easy also to get to the Social Live Casino (live dealer games), the First Person table games, the scratchers, and everything else.

Like I say, I’ve loaded WOW Vegas using the browser on my phone, but things are a little too small there for me personally to want to play that way. Games don’t seem to load as fast there, either.

Did I like the WOW Vegas app?

As noted, there is no dedicated Apple or Android app for WOW Vegas, although the site plays well over the Safari browser on my iPhone. You can set up a shortcut on your home screen, too, to make it very much like opening an app when you visit the site on your device.

As mentioned, WOW Vegas offers plenty of free-to-play online casino gaming, but you have to buy a coin package in order to access the Daily Spin Wheel and get any daily bonuses. Fortunately, WOW Vegas has a wide range of packages available from low to high stakes.

Purchasing Game Coins

You can get 50,000 WOW Coins for $1.99, but there’s no Sweepstakes Coins bonus. However, you do get the 7-Day WOW Key. The next cheapest package is $2.49 for 250,000 WOW Coins (a huge boost), and for that you also get 5 Free SC and the Key. Packages go up from there, topping out at $199.99, and in each case you get SC and the Key.

How do you make a purchase? Click “Buy Coins,” pick your package and click the green buy button, and you’ll see the payment methods:

• Google Pay
• Online Banking (Trustly)
• Debit/Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover)

• Skrill

Note that WOW Vegas adds a processing fee of 2.9% to purchases with a maximum fee of $10. That’s not too common at sweeps sites, and so for me is mark against WOW Vegas’s payment options.

Prize redemption options

How about redemptions? Like most sites, you do have to play with your SC at least once before you can try to redeem it. Then, when you’re ready, be sure you’re verified and then click “Redeem.” You’ll see two options for redeeming Sweepstakes Coins:

• Gift Cards — minimum 20 SC
• Cash Prizes — minimum 50 SC

Like McLuck, Baba Casino, and pretty much every sweeps site that has the gift card redemption option, WOW Vegas uses Prizeout to deliver virtual gift cards to your Inbox. My experience with Prizeout has been very good, and usually I get my gift card within 24 hours, often much quicker than that. You can use the gift cards at dozens of different vendors. I usually go for eBay or Amazon, but you’ll see tons of options.

If redeeming for a cash prize, you either have to choose Skrill or an online bank transfer via Trustly. Skrill is the faster option, only taking 1-2 business days, while getting a bank transfer might take 3-5 business days. By the way, 50 SC is a lower threshold for minimum redemptions for cash prizes than a lot of sites where you have to have at least 100 SC.

WOW Vegas actually takes some time as well to process cash prize redemptions, and will get to you faster if you’re on one of the higher VIP levels (Gold & Hosted). In fact, they say those on lower levels (Rising, Shooting Star, Blue, Bronze, Silver) might have to wait three business days before they’ll begin processing your request.

I can’t say I’m crazy about that system for cash prize redemptions. Otherwise, though, WOW Vegas more or less competes with what other social and sweeps sites offer in this regard.

I’ve mentioned the impressive game selection at WOW Vegas a few times already. When it comes to sweepstakes games, the WOW Vegas library really does deserve a “wow” thanks both to its quantity and quality. Let’s get into some specifics.

If you click “All Games,” you’ll see just how many titles WOW Vegas has in its library. When visiting the site most recently, WOW Vegas noted there were 2,289 games on the site, but when you visit it today, I expect there will be more. Every time I go back to WOW Vegas, that total goes up.

Slots

Out of all those games, the vast majority are sweepstakes slots — well over 2,000 titles from close to 40 different game studios, including:

I’d like to see more traditional table games at WOW Vegas, I suppose, but that’s really nitpicking as they more or less have everything covered with their non-slots offerings. And with their slots being so impressive, they earn a high mark for overall game quality and quantity.

To be honest, even though I’ve been playing at WOW Vegas for many months, I’ve always been a bit uncertain about their customer support. I remember when I first started at the site, I was under the impression live chat support was available for those who reached the highest VIP levels, but not for the rest of us (including new players who probably need it most).

Today, there is no live chat or phone support available at WOW Vegas to anyone. That means there are really only two options for customer support:

• consult the Help Center where there are answers to FAQs
• email

As a test, I emailed support at WOW Vegas and asked them to clarify for me what the options actually were for customer support. About two weeks later I received an email back confirming there was no live chat or phone support available. That’s quite a long wait for a response.

There is also now an “AI Assistant” that is essentially another way to access the answers listed in the FAQs. It actually works pretty well, I think, although obviously doesn’t quite give you what actual live chat support can.

Will I keep playing?

I will keep going back to WOW Vegas as there are so many different games there to explore. I probably won’t play there as much as I do at other options, mainly because the site doesn’t offer the incentive of a daily bonus unless you make a purchase — and continue to make purchases.

Even so, I enjoy playing games there with WOW Coins and have plenty of those, and so for that reason will certainly keep checking in on what WOW Vegas has to offer.

What others are saying about WOW Vegas

Generally speaking, users like WOW Vegas and the reviews and rankings are positive. At Trustpilot, for example, over 11,000 have weighed in, giving WOW Vegas an average rating of 4.1 stars out of 5. Indeed, there are by far more 5-star reviews (62%) than any other rating.

People like the great game selection most of all, and some have shared stories of successful redemptions. A few even mention WOW Vegas spokesperson Paris Hilton as having provided them encouragement to sign up and play.

The negative comments tend to focus on difficulties reaching customer support, and a few have complained about the recent change that took away daily bonuses if you don’t make a purchase. Some have mentioned having been successful with their redemptions, though generally it seems to take longer to process those at WOW Vegas than is the case elsewhere.
