What is FanDuel Picks?
My first question when encountering this app — and probably yours, too — is what exactly is FanDuel Picks and how is it different from other products? I use the FanDuel sports betting app frequently, and I’m also very familiar with their long-running app for daily fantasy sports. But what is FanDuel Picks?
In a nutshell, FanDuel Picks is a “pick’em”-style fantasy product that rivals other fantasy sports sites and apps that incorporate prop-style wagering into fantasy contests. It has some similarities with DraftKings Pick6 and Underdog Fantasy, but it is a bit different from those apps.
On FanDuel Picks, you make multiple picks of player performances, guessing whether they’ll go “more” or “less” than projected stats (e.g., points, yards, hits, rebounds, etc.). The more you get right, the bigger your win.
The wagers you can make on FanDuel Picks resemble parlays more than anything, as you are combining multiple “over/under”-type selections into a single wager. That’s really the only way to play on the app right now, although it is still a new product and more options and features may be coming soon.
FanDuel Picks is a standalone mobile app, available for both Apple (iOS) and Android devices. You’ll need to download it to play, but if you already have an account with the company, you can use it to log into FanDuel Picks. And if you have money in your account, you can pay for FanDuel Picks entries using those funds.
FanDuel Picks welcome bonus
First-timers at FanDuel Picks who make an initial $5 cash entry can receive $25 in Bonuses. Once you’ve created an account, deposit at least $5 and then enter a contest for $5. Upon doing so, the $25 in bonus funds will appear in your account.
This FanDuel Picks bonus works like bonus bets at the sportsbook. You can’t withdraw it, but you can wager with it, and whatever you win becomes withdrawable cash with no further wagering requirement. Note that you won’t win your stake back when you enter a contest using bonus funds, just the winnings.

Ongoing bonuses and promotions at FanDuel Picks
So far, FanDuel Picks promos have been minimal, as the product is still in its early stages.
There is a “Promos” link at the bottom of the screen. During the course of reviewing the app I saw was one promotion listed there, Gronk’s Summer Bonus Bash, which offers a chance to win a share of $200,000 in prizes. In fact, that promotion is taking place over on FanDuel Faceoff, a separate product.
If the sportsbook and fantasy sites are any indicator, though, you can expect plenty of added extras to start appearing over at FanDuel Picks. We’ll keep an eye on it and report back here if and when those promotions start appearing.
How to enter a FanDuel Picks contest
Playing a FanDuel Picks contest is quite simple to do. Indeed, the simplicity is part of the charm and makes FanDuel Picks much less complicated than, say, regular sports betting or some of the daily fantasy contests that they also offer.
When you open the app, you’ll see a scrollable list of players. Above that is a drop-down menu showing what slates of games are available. Usually, there aren’t too many different ones listed — often just two slates, a group of early games, and another covering the later games on that day’s schedule.
Pick one of the contests to enter, then just scroll through the lists of players, choosing some to make “More” or “Less” picks. You’ll see the players are arranged into statistical categories — for example, in baseball they are arranged according to total bases, strikeouts thrown, runs scored, hits, and RBIs.
You can make from 3 to 6 picks. You can choose all your picks from one category or combine picks across multiple categories. Once you’ve made your selections, hit the “Review & Enter” tab at the bottom, type in your bet amount, then click “Continue.”
The payouts are fixed according to the number of picks you’ve made as follows:
- Get 3 out of 3 correct, and you’ll win 6x your stake
- 4 out of 4 wins 10x
- 5 for 5 wins 20x
- 6 for 6 wins 38x
You might see FanDuel Picks described as offering “peer-to-peer fantasy sports.” But in truth, when you make picks you are simply trying to get each of them correct, and if you do you hit the multiplier and win a payout. You aren’t accumulating points or trying to score higher than others on their entries, at least not in the games currently being offered.

Like I say, it isn’t that complicated. The idea is simply to get a perfect card of three, four, five, or six picks. Payouts do technically come from the prize pool created by the entries, but you aren’t actually competing against others for prizes.
Other contests are coming
That said, FanDuel Picks does appear to have plans to introduce other ways to play on the site, including by having contests in which you make selections and compete against others.
The example they’ve described is a contest in which a certain number of players (e.g., 120) each pay an entry fee (e.g., $1, $5, $10) to create a prize pool, and those who get the most picks correct split the money. For instance, if 15 players get all six correct, they’d split the pool evenly.
Stay tuned as we’ll be updating this page with more information whenever FanDuel Picks starts adding new ways to play.
Banking options at FanDuel Picks
When it comes to depositing and withdrawing funds at FanDuel Picks, you have the same options available to you that they provide with their other platforms.
Depositing at FanDuel Picks
There are multiple ways to fund your FanDuel Picks account, including:
- Online banking (Trustly)
- Debit or credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover)
- PayPal
- Venmo
- Apple Pay
Those are the depositing options I currently see in the app, although you could see others depending on where you are located, such as the prepaid FanDuel Play+ card. The minimum deposit is $5.
Withdrawing at FanDuel Picks
For withdrawals, you have a few methods available as well:
- Debit cards
- PayPal
- Venmo
- Check by mail
You’ll find that, like at the sportsbook and their other sites, you usually can only withdraw using a method you previously used to deposit. Again, check your account as there could be other payout methods available to you. The minimum for withdrawals is $1.
FanDuel Picks customer support
If you’ve used any other products by the company, you know they are generally good when it comes to customer support.
You can live chat with the FanDuel Support team by clicking the blue “Chat with an Expert” button located in the bottom right of the screen. That actually takes you to a chatbot (“FanDuel Coach”), and for me it took five minutes of back-and-forth with the bot before I could reach an actual support agent. However, once I did, the agent was friendly and helpful.
You can also reach an FAQ section within the app that contains answers to many common questions. When you click through, you’ll see the choice to “Browse by Product” where you can select “Picks” for questions specifically about FanDuel Picks. At last check, there were only a handful of questions listed there, but you can also search by keyword.
Look just below as I’ve included some FAQs as well that answer some questions you might have about FanDuel Picks.
FAQs about FanDuel Picks
Yes1 FanDuel Picks launched in Texas on Sept. 2.
Right now, you can only play FanDuel Picks in: AK, AL, AR, GA, MO, MN, ND, NE, NH, NM, OK, OR, RI, SD, TX, UT, and WI. It will also go live in other states as it starts to expand its availability.
No, there are no traditional DFS contests at FanDuel Picks. Nor will you find other types of contests like “Best Ball” contests, pick’em tournaments, leaderboards, or leagues to join. Rather, you just make 3 to 6 picks and submit your entry, hoping to hit all of your picks and win the multiplier.
Right now, FanDuel Picks only pays out if you get all of your picks correct. The product is still in a development stage, though, so stay tuned as they may start introducing this feature or others.
The product only launched in April 2025, so thus far it has mainly focused on NBA, NHL, and MLB games. You can safely expect NFL games to be included as well, and possibly other sports and leagues going forward.
The minimum age is 18 years old in most states where FanDuel Picks is available. Alabama is an exception, where you must be at least 19 to play.
Get the FanDuel Picks bonus and check it out
Right now, FanDuel Picks is in its early stages of development, so it’s fair to anticipate a lot of added features and options once the site gets established. For those looking for a simple way to wager on player props in a parlay-style format, FanDuel Picks provides a way to do so.
If you’re in a state where FanDuel Picks is currently available, such as Texas, the generous $25 welcome offer certainly makes giving the site a try. Remember you don’t need a FanDuel Picks promo code to receive it.
