Third-party lottery app Jackpocket and convenience store chain Circle K have announced an expanded partnership to reach out to lottery players at 1,300 stores nationwide.
The partnership includes six states. For Texas, though, this isn’t the first time players in the Lone Star State have been able to take advantage of offers involving the two companies.
Partnership an expansion of Texas pilot program
For avid lottery players in Texas, this alliance may sound familiar. That’s because this new partnership stems from a pilot program that was run in Austin for 30 days last summer.
That initial promotion involved 68 stores in the Austin metropolitan area and ran from July 27 until August 23. The specifics of the new, expanded promotion are essentially the same.
Circle K customers can use their store’s unique promo code in the Jackpocket app to access $5 in free lottery tickets on their first order in the app, the same promotion offered last summer.
For users of the Jackpocket app, there will be a menu option to access exclusive Circle K deals. Once they select a specific deal, a barcode will appear. Users then simply show the barcode when checking out at their local Circle K store to redeem the offer.
While there have not been any specific deals announced yet, some offers from last year’s promotion included a free polar pop, a free coffee and 25 cents off per gallon of gas.
Jackpocket will also receive expanded branding both inside Circle K stores and in digital ads and emails.
Both parties thrilled with new partnership
Jackpocket is currently available in 10 states but is undoubtedly looking to expand and reach as many customers as possible. This partnership will allow it to reach over 1 million new customers per day, according to a press release.
Jackpocket CEO Peter Sullivan had nothing but positive thoughts about the expanded relationship with Circle K.
“We’re proud to expand our partnership with Circle K, a company renowned for putting the customer first. Jackpocket and Circle K share a mission to deliver easy and convenient experiences for consumers on the go. We’re excited to introduce Circle K customers to a new, easy way to play their favorite lottery games right from their phone.”
Kevin Lewis, chief marketing officer for Circle K, echoed Sullivan’s message regarding the ability for customers to seamlessly play the lottery on the go.
“It is all part of our mission to make our customers’ lives a little easier every day.”
While Jackpocket has been up and running alongside the Texas Lottery since 2019, this new partnership can grow the player base even larger and give Texans another incentive to play in the Jackpocket app.
