What better way to debut a slot machine than with “America’s Team” at Choctaw Casino Resort?
Aristocrat Gaming has launched the newest slot title in its series of NFL-themed games in Oklahoma, titled NFL Kickoff. The game has rolled out at three Oklahoma casinos, including Choctaw, allowing Dallas Cowboys fans the chance to support the team and win a jackpot at the same time.
The other two casinos offering NFL Kickoff are the Comanche Nation’s Red River Casino in Devol and Creek Nation Casino-Muscogee Bingo. Aristocrat plans to bring the game to more markets in the coming months.
NFL Kickoff incorporates elements of the game
Since Texas online casinos, retail casinos and sports betting remain illegal, Oklahoma presents the best opportunity for Cowboys fans in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area to gamble legally. Choctaw has established itself as the primary sporting partner of sports teams like the Texas Rangers, Dallas Stars and Dallas Mavericks, and now it has the Dallas Cowboys covered, too.
Components of an actual NFL game are incorporated into NFL Kickoff, said Aristocrat CEO Hector Fernandez.
“We’re excited to bring NFL Kickoff to casino partners and NFL fans alike across the entire state of Oklahoma and beyond. The game captures many of the thrilling elements of an NFL game, and the bonus feature presents a unique chance to score a touchdown while playing as their favorite team.”
NFL Kickoff is the first Class II slot title licensed by the NFL. It uses the RELM XL 5-Reel cabinet and incorporates parts of a football game into the playing experience.
Upon selecting one’s team, players find themselves on the gridiron to play a game within the game. Winning spins march the offense down the field and engage the Red Zone Bonus for a chance to score a touchdown.
Other bonus features include the Wheel Spin and Red Zone Spins.
Choctaw now offers two NFL-themed games for Cowboys fans
NFL Kickoff is Aristocrat’s second NFL-themed slot title in collaboration with the league. It plans to launch five NFL-related games by early 2024.
The first of those games, NFL Super Bowl Jackpots, incorporates video highlights of players’ favorite teams, among other immersive features. It went live in September in eight states, including Oklahoma.
Choctaw is one of 11 Oklahoma casinos to offer NFL Super Bowl Jackpots. It’s the only casino with both NFL-themed slot titles. Aristocrat’s website lists where you can find all NFL slot titles in Oklahoma and will update as the games’ rollouts continue.
Cowboys legends partner with Choctaw moving forward
In addition to its NFL Kickoff and NFL Super Bowl Jackpots games, Choctaw recently linked up with three-time Cowboys Super Bowl winners Troy Aikman and Darren Woodson.
The partnership also included Hall-of-Famer Rangers catcher Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez. The trio of Texas sports stars are Choctaw brand ambassadors and the faces of its “Where the Players Play” campaign.
The four-year campaign became official in August and will incorporate imagery of the former athletes inside Choctaw’s seven Oklahoma casinos. Additionally, North Texans can expect to see Aikman, Woodson and Rodriguez in local advertisements on television, radio, social media and online.
Looking ahead, Choctaw will continue to face stiff competition from Thackerville’s Winstar World Casino and Resort. The Dallas Morning News estimates around 80% of both casinos’ customers come from the DFW metroplex.
