The summer may be fading, but Texas has some hot action this October. Big poker events in the Houston, Austin and Dallas areas will prove The Lone Star State is the place to be in October.

While poker rooms are technically illegal in Texas, poker clubs are not, at least as they currently exist. Texas online poker is illegal, though Texans can play in sweepstakes casinos that offer poker games.
Epic match kicks off Heads Up Open at The Lodge
The Heads-Up Open will take place at The Lodge from Oct. 13-15. The Lodge is located in Round Rock, north of Austin. There’s a $1,100 buy-in and multiple starting flights on the first two days. Anyone who makes it through their first day will battle it out on the final day, Oct. 15.
To kick off the event, a special heads-up battle will take place on Oct. 12 between two titans. Doug Polk will take on Rampage live at The Lodge.
Mystery Bounty features a $20K guarantee
Also in October, a $20,000 guaranteed Mystery Bounty event will run on Oct. 7. The $259 buy-in gives players $30,000 in chips. The bounties will range from $200 to $2,000.

Half a million dollars up for grabs at the Texas Card House
This fall, make your way to Spring. Spring, TX, that is. The Fall Classic takes place Oct. 4-22 at the Texas Card House, one of its biggest events of the year for the club north of Houston.
The highly anticipated Main Event of the series comes with a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool. The $800 buy-in will run from Oct. 17-22. Eight multiple flights will take place. All survivors will fight it out on the final day, Oct. 22.
